display A public showing; exhibition. The artist had his paintings on display at the art show.

alert Watching out for danger. The swimmer was on alert for any signs of a shark.

weariness Temporary loss of strength and energy resulting from hard physical or mental work. He could not fight the weariness he felt after a long day of work.

fractured Broken. His arm was fractured in the car accident.

standards Something that is accepted as a basis for measuring or as a rule or model. We use the standards of Celsius and Fahrenheit as the units for temperature measurement.

vision A mental picture produced by the imagination He had a vision of the number nine in his head.

huddle To crowd close or put close together. The workers made a huddle to discuss their next plan.

graceful Showing grace, as in movement. The dancers were graceful as they danced across the stage.

stranded To leave in a difficult or helpless position. The man was stranded on a deserted island.

concluded To think about something and then reach a decision or form an opinion.. The father and son concluded that they had very different ideas about what type of car was the safest to drive.
