French classes WILL meet in the building today for one more day. Follow the same room assignments as earlier in the week: Bell 1 is in Mrs. Spade's room 801 Bells 3,4,6 are in Ms. Baigert's room 805 Bell 8 is in Mrs. Aitcheson's room 322 On Monday French classes will meet in the portable.

Middle-school fall sports athletes Team pictures will be taken on the following days: Girls and boys soccer team pictures will be taken Wednesday, Oct. 14. The football and cheerleading pictures will be taken on Tuesday, Oct. 20. All pictures will be taken in the library at 8:20 a.m. Please see Mr. Laney in room 326 if you have any questions.

Attention middle school students. A huge leadership opportunity is available and that is leadership workshop! There are 60 spots left, and applications are due ASAP. You should get the signatures of three core teachers and hand-deliver the application to Mrs. Henderson in the library.

Any student who is representing our school at the Operation Smile dodge ball tournament PLEASE see Mrs. Harris asap! Mrs. Harris will be in Room 809 this week.

Spotlight on Disability History and Awareness Month in Virginia. "We know that equality of individual ability has never existed and never will, but we do insist that equality of opportunity still must be sought." This quote is by Franklin D. Roosevelt who was the only President with a disability. There are only two pictures of President Roosevelt seated in his wheelchair.

Guess What is coming next Friday? What? Next Friday, October 16, there will be an SCA Spirit Day Fun I love spirit days what is the theme? This month's spirit day theme is twin day. So find a friend- or a few friends- to be your twin!

Remember to Turn in your transportation notes to your teacher. Don’t forget about the community picnic and concert on this evening. Picnic starts at 5:00 and the concert starts at 6. Bring your beach chair and sit back and relax to music by out talented middle school musicians.!
