The Benefits of a Test My Friend’s Heart for Nations

Test (Dokimazonti) – To examine, prove, scrutinize. To see whether a thing is genuine or not. 1 Thessalonians 2:4 – On the contrary, we speak as those approved By God to be entrusted with the Gospel. We are not trying to please People, but God, who tests our hearts.

Tests reveal to us what we have in our heart. Test (Tsaraph) – To purge away. Psalm 17:3 – Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and you test me, you will find that I planned no evil. My mouth has not transgressed.

Tests eliminate those who don’t Take ministry seriously Thin – Tsaraph Judges 7:4 – But the Lord said to Gideon, ‘There are still too many men. Take Them down to the water, and I will thin them out for you there. If I say, ‘This one shall go with you,’ he shall go; but if I say, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ he shall not go.

Tests are used to protect us Psalm 66:9-10 He has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping. For you, God, tested us, you refined us like silver.

Tests prepare us for specific purposes Daniel 11:35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified, and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

Tests will determine what is of no value Proverbs 25:4 Remove the dross from the silver, and a silversmith can produce A vessel

Tests are to prove God’s goodness of character Isaiah 48:10-11 See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you In the furnace of affliction. For My own sake, for My own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield My glory to another.
