Stress can be caused by a variety of things: Doing poorly on an exam Problems at home Stress can interfere with your performance It can prevent you from swimming your best You must determine the importance of the stressor Is it under your control? Should you just let it go? Stress Management

Create long term and short term goals Be specific Be realistic Pick few important goals Determine why the goals are important to you Figure out how to achieve them Put your plan into action! Goal Setting
