2 The strategy The main objective was to communicate a huge promotion in order to increase customer saving habits in American Express Travelers Checks. Promotion Selling lines: “With this instrument you never lose your money”. If you lose it, you get it back. Travelers checks never expire. If you buy it now you will participate in 5 raffles for $3000 each one Tag Line: The intelligent way to buy US Dollars

3 For six weeks we developed a promotion with a Mime Wizard (like Marcel Marceau) in many of the main restaurants of the principals cities of Venezuela. The performance of this Mime begins asking a customer to give him 10 dollar bill and in a magical way disappear it. Then he took a hundred dollar travel check from his pocket and no matter how much he tried, he was unable to disappear it. Finally he got frustrated and cry. He returned the ten dollar bill, a facsimile of a travel check, a brochure with the promo facts and also a playing card set as a souvenir. He leaved and continue to another dinning table. The Promotion…

4 The results… We increased in 42% the transactions in the first 4 weeks…
