2. Today we will learn to subtract 2 – digit numbers using a 100’s chart and rajma beans

3. Radhika wants to have a collection of 34 books. She already has 15 books. How many more books does she need?

4. We can use the 100’s chart and the rajma beans Keep the rajma bean on the smaller number of the question i.e. 15. Skip count by 10 to reach the bigger number. From 15 we move towards the next 10’s i.e 25 We get 1 tens From 25 we then move towards ones till we reach 34 i.e. 26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34. We get 9 ones. So, the difference is 19.

5. We can skip count in similar manner without using pencil and a paper. We can keep the smaller number in mind and skip count by 10’s and then ones to reach the bigger number.
