George Washington Virginia After the war he wanted to be a farmer. –NOT a framer! Refused to come but he showed. Presided over the convention. (he was the referee)

School Rules Convention Delegates that attend the convention will be discussing the rules for the school; dress code, gum, etc.

We Make the Rules! We the People – pg 109 – 110 NEW government –Articles were too messed up to fix TOP SECRET meetings –Promote free speech ONE vote per state –Get the small states to agree

Ideas About Government We the People – pg 110 National government should be constitutional to limit the powers of the government. The purpose of government is protect rights and promote common good. Strong national government was need to protect rights. Representatives were needed to serve the common good. Separation of powers and checks and balances were needed to prevent the abuse of power.
