It Was Over On May 8, 1945 They Called It V-E Day They Were Called “Displaced Persons” Finding New Homes For The Jews Was The Job Of The United Nations Relief And Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) In 1947 The Job Was Passed On To The International Refugee Organization (IRO)

When The IRO Took Over In 1947, There Were Approximately 1,200,000 Jewish And Non- Jewish People Looking For Homes. In The Next Few Years The IRO Was Able To Resettle About A Million Jews.

They Fled To France, Canada, Great Britain And, Israel. 137,000 Jews Came To The United States.

Most Of The Children In The Holocaust Were Murdered. Many Of The Children Who Survived Were Orphans Or Put Up For Adoption.
