2.  TISD is public school district comprising 5 high schools, 18 intermediate schools, and 34 elementary schools.  TISD is funded by the state of Texas via district property taxes collected from home owners.  The substitute department is the main manager of the system.

3.  This Project has been Initiated to provide substitute employees as teachers for Texas Independent School District(TISD).  The web based system will allow online access for both the teacher and the substitute employee to do the respective processing.  SEMS (Substitute & Employee Management System) is already in place, but needs more functionality.
