Process involves: Environmental studies Evaluation of study results Consultation with stakeholders Decision based on factors including: Minimizing environmental impact Minimizing disruption Cost Route Selection

Process involves: Working with the Island Corridor Foundation Installation of cable in railway bed Opportunities to collaborate with the ICF and the Town of View Royal

Installation Process involves: 1m wide trench Direct-burying cables in trench Covering/backfilling trench

Timeline NEB hearing will begin May 1. NEB decision expected in early July - based on whether the project is in best interests of public Physical construction phase scheduled to begin January 2007, completed in 2008
