VNPT state own company accounts for more than 90% market share- both Telecommunication and the Internet International bandwidth capacity 2332 Mbps 2.8 million subsribers, 7.2 million Internet users (9,1%)

A few names involved: MPT, MoST, National Assembly Committee, Governement Office- strong governement "portion" On going: e-transaction law drafted by national assembly- to be approved by end of 2005- ICT Law- by MPT- to be approved by end of 2006 Internet policies: started 2001, amended 2003-04; latest Interministerial circular issued 15/7/05- Internet management at cafes- submit ID- to avoid "bad" affairs through Internet
