RCMP Grant Program FEMA STUDY “for every dollar spent on mitigation, communities save $4 dollars in repairs.” City awarded $194,000 to provide residential mitigation assistance Single family homes Located in Palm Coast Must be primary residence Emphasis on low and moderate Income Emphasis on homes built prior to 2002 Example: Hurricane shutters

ADMINISTER RCMP WITH CDBG PROGRAM Build on past and current CDBG experience Leverage both funds to deliver housing improvements Utilize our continuing services agreement with Guardian Community Services (currently used for CDBG) GOAL: To complete 10 – 12 houses under both programs

REQUESTED ACTIONS 1.Adopt resolution approving a grant funded agreement with the Division of Emergency Management to implement the Palm Coast Residential Construction Mitigation Program. 2.Adopt resolution approving a work order with Guardian Community Services, Inc., to add the RCMP administrative services.

A Joint CDBG/RCMP workshop is scheduled for Monday December 14, 2015 at 5:30 pm in the Council Wing. T he workshop will kick-off a 30 day application period. WHAT IS NEXT?
