3. Friction is a contact force and objects touch, while gravity is a non-contact force and objects do not touch. Both are a force that can change the motion of an object. FRICTION - Contact force - Objects are touching GRAVITY - Non-contact Force -Objects not touching BOTH -Forces -Can change an objects direction

6.  Force is described by it’s direction and strength.  Arrows points in direction force is pushing or pulling.  Size of arrow represents the size of the force.  Long arrow = a lot of force  Short arrow = a little bit of force box

Kinetic Friction – between objects that are moving  Slows objects down To reduce friction:: Apply a slippery substance called a lubricant to reduce contact between objects and reduce friction. Can you name some examples of a lubricant ? Oil on squeaky doors, soap or butter to remove jewelry stuck on fingers
