INTERESTING FACTS TThe world’s first skyscraper was built in Chicago in 1885. SSpringfield is the state capital of Illinois and the home of the National Historic home of President and Mrs. Abraham Lincoln. IIllinois has 102 counties. IIn Mount Pulaski, Illinois, it’s illegal for boys ( and only boys) to hurl snowballs at trees. However, girls are allowed to hurl snowballs at trees. DDes Plains is the home to the first McDonalds.
