2 Principles of Tourism 2 with Laws Course Orientation  Page 2 Course Description: This course is a preparative study of the tourism and hospitality industry, its history, framework and system. It aims to provide students with an overview of the different aspects and principles of hotel, and restaurant and tourist establishment business. This course introduces the students to the theories, concepts and principles of tourism. It focuses on the economic, socio- cultural, and political implications of tourism industry. It gives insights on tourism laws mandating tourism businesses, and tourism prospects for a better and more progressive tourism industry.
