2 nd quarter Due Nov. 13 th * you must have your completed cube report and rubric at the beginning of class *
2
Include your underlined title with proper punctuation. Followed by the author and a brief summary of the author’s life.
3
This recommendation should identify a good audience for this book (who will enjoy it). This should be like a teaser that is not a summary, but will make your classmates want to read.
4
The summary should introduce the main points in the plot. What happened in the rising action, climax and resolution?
5
What is the universal message that the author wants the reader to take away from the story?
6
Draw an illustration of a scene from your story. Please do your best. Though shading is used instead of color in the example, please use color (markers, colored pencil, crayon, etc).
7
Identify the major characters, setting, conflict, solution, and resolution
8
Your book must be fiction. It has to be a book you read this school year or over the summer (you should have taken an AR test on it 1 st or 2 nd quarter). Please see me with any question about books.
9
You must use your own words for each part of this project. Gather information from your book by rereading and taking notes about your book. The only information you may need to look up is biographical information about the author (if it is not on the back of your book). If you copy and paste information from a website or have the same wording/phrasing as another student’s, this is considered cheating, and you will receive a zero for the assignment.
