1. What do these 3 colours represent? How do they categorise the world? Alfred Sauvy (French demographer) created the map to split the world into 3 types of country

2. Three world model Made in 1952 it divided the world into the ‘first’ world made up of capitalist countries like UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France etc…

3. The second world? The second world was the communist countries of Russia, China, Mongolia, the Eastern Block countries (Poland, Romania etc… which are now capitalist like us)

4. The 3rd world? Theses countries were called ‘unknown, exploited and scorned’ and referred to commonwealth and colonial countries which had been claimed by us, French, Dutch, Spanish etc… and later we had to give independence back to (Such as India, Kenya, Ghana etc..)
