2. The setting takes place in the far-future
The setting takes place in the far-future. Aliens have come down to earth and nearly wiped out the human race twice. To prevent extinction of mankind, they have resorted to training young children in the military, turning them into genius, killing machines. Ender is one of these children, and he is the best among them. He is chosen to go to the main setting of this story, the battle school. S

The battle school is a special school where kids like ender go and learn how to battle. Most of the training is in the form of games which are like training sessions, to get a taste of what it’s like in the battlefield

4. This is Ender in a training room.
Ender/Andrew Wiggin
Ender is a four year old, genius who goes to a battle school in space. He looks innocent, but is actually very strong and smart. He is the brother of Valentine, and Peter Wiggin. He never really wants to fight, or hurt people, but he wants to protect his family. That is one of the reasons why he went to battle school. Ender is the main character of this story. C

5. This is Peter, Ender’s brother. He has brown hair and blue eyes

Peter is the older brother of Ender and Valentine. He despises ender, because he is jealous of Ender being superior to him. Even though he likes to torture Ender, Peter still loves his brother. Despite him being the brother of the main character he is actually a minor character, as he is only in the first part of the book. C

6. Valentine Wiggin C This is Valentine.
Valentine is Ender’s younger sister. She is exceptionally smart for her age and shares a strong bond with Ender. She, like Peter, is a minor character in the story, as she is also only in the first part of the book. C

7. They are nicknamed “buggers” from their appearance.
Aliens/Buggers
These aliens have waged war with the humans. They were nicknamed “Buggers” due to obvious reasons. They have a powerful army, and nearly beat the humans twice. This alien race itself is the main antagonist of the story. C

8. This is what I think Alai looks like in the book.
Alai is ender’s best friend at the battle school. When ender first meets Alai they are enemies, but become friends later. Even when ender leaves Alai’s group and goes to a different part of the school, they are still friends. Every day, ender, alai and other people go to the “battle room” to practice their skills. Alai is a main character, because he appears frequently in the story. C

9. P The battle school is in space
The story begins with ender, being invited to go to a place called the battle school. Here, ender is taught how to fight and defend the world from a menace called the “Buggers” which are aliens that have attacked earth. When ender arrives at the school (Which is in space) he immediately becomes the best student. In fact, he is so good, he advances from the beginning classes to the classes for bigger kids than him.

10. Meanwhile, on earth Ender’s brother, Peter, has an idea
Meanwhile, on earth Ender’s brother, Peter, has an idea. He and Ender’s sister, Valentine would disguise themselves as adults using the internet, and posting several political posts. Peter is doing this because eventually, if his plan worked, he could receive a high level of power. P

11. P Ender is leader of Dragon army
At the battle school ender has become the best student there is. At one point he becomes a commander of his own army, which is a bunch of classmates in one team. Their team is called “dragon army” such as all the other teams having animals for mascots. Ender’s team, however, is composed mainly of smaller, less trained people. Ender must train them to become better.

12. Soon, ender trains his army and they are unbeatable
Soon, ender trains his army and they are unbeatable. So good, ender has been moved to a completely different school. While there he plays a game that let’s him command a squadron of star ships and he must shoot down his enemy. He gradually becomes better at the game, until his last day. P

13. P (climax) Ender destroys the alien home planet
Ender wakes up, being told he must play one more game. It is around a planet and he is outnumbered by his enemies. Nonetheless, he defeats his enemies, and destroys the planet in the hologram. Ender is shocked to find out that the “game” he was playing was actually really happening. He accidentally ended the long war against an alien race.

14. Back on earth, ender becomes a hero
Back on earth, ender becomes a hero. Ender moves to another planet, that used to belong to the aliens. He begins a colony there and soon, more people begin to come. As ender is flying in a helicopter, he notices a strange area that seems familiar to him. As he explores it he finds a cocoon, which contains a queen alien. Ender takes it and plans to let it hatch somewhere.
Resolution

15. The mood of this story was very mixed, but it mostly felt sad, all the emotions he goes through, (…for the second time that day, he cried. [pg.15]) the way Peter treated Ender, (and Peter won’t hate me… [pg.2]) Ender being very hesitant to kill, (… I didn’t want to kill anyone! [pg.297])even his enemies. It makes you feel sorry for Ender, and what he is going through.

16. The theme of this book is obviously sci-fi, with all the advances in technology, like starships, schools in space, lasers, holigrams and many more things. Humans are living on other planets than earth and are even fighting aliens.
