2.  It happened when the stock markets crashed.  After this The 1930’s were known as the dirty thirties.

3.  It started in the 1930’s.  It spread like wild fire across the globe.

4.  Fortunes were gone in a snap.  Banks lost very large amounts of money and some even went bankrupt.  Since no one had any money or very little no one bought stuff causing several stores to go out of business.

6.  Most families were affected by the great depression.  Middle class and working class were mainly affected.  People who used to have homes now ate out of soup kitchens.

7.  Families moved to different countries.  They hoped to find available jobs.  Ways to get enough money for there families and themselves.

8.  When the great depression ended many people were able to get money.  Many of the men joined in the army to go fight in World War II.  Many of the women took the jobs in stores, markets, etc…
