Graduation Plan Options Student in Cohorts 2015, 2016, and 2017 will have the option of graduating staying on the Recommended High School Plans or changing to the new Foundation High School Plans

Only one athletic period at a time There are tryouts for most sports Some athletic programs begin in the summer – Check athletics page on website towards end of year. (Ex: Football, Cross Country, Volleyball) If you do not make the team, you will be placed in PE All athletics require a PHYSICAL EXAM every year

What is AVID? o A college preparatory that places students with potential in advanced classes and provides them with critical support All AVID students are required to be in at least one advanced course (PreAP, AP, Dual) while enrolled in the program. National Honor Society is an honor and privilege extended by the faculty to deserving students of Kingwood Park High School. Invitation given to students beginning fall of Sophomore year if they have an overall Cumulative GPA of 4.0 and meet certain criteria Must apply for membership and prove both leadership and service Leadership points may be earned through: Leadership/Officer positions in clubs, leading service projects, lettering, KP Merit Awards, and leadership conferences Service points may be earned through: Club and organization membership, athletics, fine arts, FFA, StuCo, community groups, and community service For detailed info, visit NHS website located on KPark Webpage under the ACTIVITES tab.
