Plant Adaptions Stomata : tiny holes in the cuticle Special walls allow stomata to close to prevent water loss Also to allow air to move in and out Cuticle : a waxy top layer, this layer is waterproof The cuticle helps hold in moisture for the plant

Growing Upright Lignin : found in the cell walls of the plant tissues that provide support and conduct fluids.

Transporting Resources Vascular System : a collection of specialized tissues that bring water and mineral nutrients
