2 What is Bluetooth The technology that will revolutionize how we use machines Bluetooth is a cable-replacement technology It was first conceived by Ericsson Significant participators are Agere, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia, and Toshiba

3 How It is a small, cheap radio chip, that can be plugged into computers, printers, mobile phones and other devices A Bluetooth chip takes thee information and transmits it a special frequency, a globally available frequency band (2.4GHz) for worldwide compatibility, to a receiver Bluetooth chip, which will then give the information received to the computer, phone, or other device

4 How cont. The Profiles specify how to use the Bluetooth protocol stack for an interoperable solution. Each Profile states how to reduce options and set parameters in the base standard and how to use procedures from several base standards

5 Why The best part is it can be placed anywhere. Bluetooth wireless technology also defines how devices interoperate and exchange information, effectively adding intelligence and new functionality to enhance the way people experience connectivity
