Sleep is a state of rest – an unconcious rest. When we sleep, our body recovers from fatigue caused by the day’s activities.

A good sleep gives rest. When we sleep we become more active and alert and are ready to do daily activities.

When we get up in the morning we don’t remember what happened when we are sleeping. Sometimes we remember our dreams but rest of our sleep is like as nothing has happened.

There are many things that happen in our body when we are sleeping. As we get into sleep our muscles relax more and more.

As we get into sleep our heartbeat becomes slower.

As we get into sleep our temperature and blood pressure go down.

As we get into sleep our brain that is active always slows down so that we can’t think or do some work. But still we dream.

When we wake up, our temperature and blood pressure, heartbeat, breathing is normal.

When we are fully awake, we forget few of our dreams that we had while sleeping.
