1. Beowulf fights Grendal Aidan Moore

2. This is how the story begins I was a young warrior. I heard about a big terrible monster and he was called Grendal.

3. I travelled to Denmark to see the king and kill the monster Grendal

4. I arrived at the mighty hall Heorot. The door swung open and I stepped into the hall and everyone stopped and stared.

5. I went through and the king shouted “who are you?” I am Beowulf. I am hear to kill Grendal the monster. Everyone fell a sleep and the terrible monster Grendal.

6. The ugly monster Grendal shot through the mighty door. Grendal was massive with stinking rotting flesh.

7. I was going to have a big battle with the scabby monster. I slashed and punched and finally I pinned him down and twisted and pulled and tore his arm off! There was blood squirting on me and everywhere! He ran off screaming and shouting in agony.

8. I am proud of myself! I carried Grendel’s arm high above my head showing everyone what I had done. I hung it high on a beam for all to see.

9. I found out that Grendel was dead and I laughed and laughed because Grendel was dead.

10. Later in my life I went on to kill sea monsters and dragons.

11. I became a mighty warrior that people would remember for ever. The End.
