So should be the colour and background, unless it is some special circumstance. This text box should not be removed until the final draft and/or everyone has edited one draft already.

2 Development in Nanotechnology Reply to: 1. What is the one example of development in science and technology that man brings about? 2. Give a description of this development in less than 200 words. In your description, explain how man has altered the living and non-living factors in the ecosystem to bring about this development.

3 How does this benefit us? With nanotechnology, we can now find ways to save lives by finding new cures to different diseases. We can make drug delivery vehicles to deliver the exact amount of drug required to a specific organ so as to reduce side-effects of the drug. It can also be used to engineer tissues and regrow bones. It also allows us to make new materials with the properties we need, allowing us to manufacture new things as substitutes of natural items. Nanotechnology allows us to filter water and make it cleaner for us to use in our daily lives. They may be used to clean up nuclear waste, reduce energy consumption, improving manufacturing methods, or increase energy production. They are placed in foods so that it makes the food more healthy and nutritious. (Biotechnology: GM Foods)

4 Impacts on the environment and ecosystem Positive 1. Potential nuclear waste cleaning agent. 2. Finding medicine and pharmaceuticals to cure diseases in organisms. 3. Create new materials Negative 1. Potential health hazards if nanomaterials are exposed to organisms. 2. There is a large amount of nanopollution which can be dangerous for its size because It can easily penetrate any animal and plant cell causing unknown effects.
