Converting from one to the other In order to convert from one value to another, we can use the following chart. K H D u d c m Move the decimal right or left depending on your conversion. U

What do we do when we convert? K H D u d c m From larger to smaller, place the last whole number of what you are converting under the unit you are starting with. Put a zero under the unit you are converting to. Fill in the blanks with zeroes. Remove any decimals and replace with commas (if needed). Example: Let’s say you are converting 4 km to mm. K H D u d c m 4 0 Step 1 4000000Step 2 There are 4,000,000 mm in 4 km

What do we do when we convert? K H D u d c m From smaller to larger, place the first number under the symbol you are starting with. Place a decimal under the symbol you are going to.
