Good morning! Today, we are going to review the parts of speech we have discussed. Then, we are going to complete some awesome winter mad libs!

Nouns Person, place, thing, idea Singular: only one Plural: more than one

Pronouns Take the place of a noun Subject pronoun: I, we, you, he, she, it, they Object pronoun: me, us, you, him, her, it, them

Winter Creative Writing Brainstorming Get into groups of three or four for our next activity. Part 1: Scattergories You will have a few minutes to brainstorm words related to winter. Each word must start with a different letter of the alphabet. Your group will get a point if you have a word that no other group has.

Scattergories Winners Each group gets to pick a winter-related word that no other group can use in their creative writing. We will go in order by the most points. Write down your prohibited words as each group chooses them.

Story Board As a group or individually, complete the story board. Each box must include A 1-2 sentence description A simple picture Make sure to follow the parts of the plot structure. Be creative!
