13. Tested hypothesis. May be false. May not be proven.

14. 7. Scientific Law

15. A theory which is always found to be correct. Universally accepted.

16. Controlled Experiment

17. All factors are the same except the one being tested. Made up of two parts.

19. Part that does not get special treatment.

20. B. Variable

21. Part that does get special treatment. It causes the change in an experiment. There are different types of variables:

22. Constant Variable

23. Factors that stay the same.

24. Manipulative Variable. Also called the Independent variable. “Cause”

25. The part you can change or control, a deliberate change.

26. Responding Variable. Also called the dependent variable. “Effect or Result”

27. The part that is a result of the change. The change that occurred because of the mv.

28. Control Group

29. Used for comparison. Doesn’t receive any treatment.
