3. flexiblelearning.net.au/innovations Background to the Moodle The Moodle site is being trialled on an external server located in Adelaide Roles are assigned to users such as Administrator, Teacher, Student with usernames and passwords allocated On the site, each unit of competency is given a checklist of suggested evidence which the students gather for their e-portfolio.

4. flexiblelearning.net.au/innovations ProblemsSolutions The moodle is currently located on an external server There is more scope that could be explored with the Moodle such as EXABIS e-portfolio but not when the site access runs out in 6 months time TAFE NSW - Western Institute has established a supported Moodle site Need a designated person on hand to attend promptly to student queries, problems Part-time teacher vs full-time teacher/faculty contact person to be determined Moodle site not complete at enrolment ie large number of checklists and evidence gathering information to be prepared for any unit in the course in which a student is seeking RPL Moodle training for staff has been schedule to allow planning and resource building to commence Low quality of sound and interference with Adobe Connect sessions Investigate alternative communication methods: skype? Level of support required to engage and motivate students Continued support throughout program
