IRT Management Toolbox

Background  Needs analysis identified a gap for senior level IRT employees to access a basic workshop/training session which will assist in becoming an effective supervisor/manager within IRT  Feedback from Managers across the business identified the areas within the business they would like a workshop delivered on.  GLT have approved a proposal for an IRT Management Toolbox Program to be developed and rolled out across the group in 2014

Objectives The program will be delivered as a blended model of delivery. Participants will complete a pre work book component. This will be followed by a 2 day interactive session with the facilitators. At the end of the session the participants will complete an assessment task.

Benefits  An effective management toolbox program for IRT staff will ensure clear guidelines are in place and effective processes are followed;  This will lead to a better understanding of IRT Practices;  This then leads to improved morale, culture and productivity across the board.

Who are the Facilitators?  The facilitators for these sessions are our subject matter experts (SME’s) and are current IRT employees.  The IRT SMEs will provide all the content and facilitate the interactive workshop sessions relevant to their area of expertise.

Roadmap  The OD team will work closely with the SME’s to develop the program content.  Finalise the program structure and schedule sessions into 2014 IRT Education Calendar  Run pilot program March/April 2014  Collate the feedback from the pilot Management Toolbox Session; and  Optimise through continuous improvement
