2 Gather The Lord be with you And also with you

3 Receive After [the Magi] had left, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph and said, “Herod will be looking for the child in order to kill him. So get up, take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you to leave.” Joseph got up, took the child and his mother, and left during the night for Egypt, where he stayed until Herod died. This was done to make what the Lord had said through the prophet come true, “I called my Son out of Egypt.” Matthew 2:13-15

5 Respond Lord Jesus, your parents were forced to flee from Herod’s murderous fear. Have pity on those who flee their homes today. Lord Jesus you travelled a dangerous road to Egypt. Have mercy on those who travel on unsafe boats, in the back of lorries, or with help of traffickers because they can find no other way Lord hear our prayer for their safety And let our cry come unto you Adapted from a prayer by Louise Pirouet
