Lesson 4.5 Concept: How to Multiply Integers Guidelines: When multiplying integers….. If the integer signs are the same, the product is positive ( + +) or (- -). If the integer signs are different, the product is negative (+ -) or (- +)

PRACTICE 7(8) = -6(- 4) = 5(-10) = -9( 9) = -12(0) = 56 the integers are both positive, they are the same, so the product is positive. 24 the integers are both negative, they are the same, so the product is positive. - 50 the integers are different, so the product is negative. - 81 the integers are different, so the product is negative. 0 any number multiplied by zero is always a product of zero.
