3 7 th Grade Science Work Standards 1. 1. Follow the 6 traits of writing.   Ideas * Sentence Fluency (complete sentences)   Organization * Word Choice   Voice * Conventions 2. Write complete words, do NOT abbreviate or use slang. 3. Papers must be neat and clean with NO stray marks or drawings. 4. All drawings/sketches must be labeled and colored. 5. Support all answers with evidence and/or reasons.

4 Quizzes and Tests Students will have a science quiz at the end of short units.Students will have a science quiz at the end of short units. 5 Science Folders Each student must have a 2 pocket, 3 prong folder for science. One pocket is labeled notes, ungraded papers and handouts. The second pocket is labeled graded papers. The prongs are for warm-ups and learning scales. A new folder will be needed at the beginning of each quarter.

7 PJHS Agendas Students must write their homework for each class in the agenda each day. If there is no homework, students are to write “none”. Parents must sign the agenda every Friday night.

12 Quarter Tests Students take a final test at the end of each quarter. These tests are worth a large amount of points. Please encourage your child to study.
