3. Science Works Hands-On Museum Science works offers schools, families and community members a fun and engaging hands-on science experience unlike any other. Science works is heavily involved in community and school outreach, serving over 1,5oo members in nine counties.

5. Science Works’ Programs Besides fabulous hands-on science displays, Science Works offers many programs to connect to community, families, and schools. Preschool and Family Network  Telescope Lending Program Girls Engineering Club of Science Works (GECOS) Countless summer programs Presentations and mobile units Presented in area schools Community Events (Earth Day, Fire and Ice celebration, Electric Vehicle Day)

Programs Preschool and Family network: Creating a support system for families with young children. -Toddler Time -Preschool Yoga  Telescope Lending Program: With help from Southern Oregon Sky Watchers and Ashland Fiber Networks Science Works has been able to create six telescopes to lend to members.

7. Programs Summer Science Camps: These camps are offered for many age groups and cover a wide variety of science related topics. Girls Engineering Club of Science Works (GECOS): Is a club that offers girls a chance to explore science through interesting engineering challenges.

8. Connecting with Schools How does Science Works connect with schools in the southern Oregon and Northern California?

9. School Outreach Science Works has 30 minute, 90 minute and all day camps, workshops, and science labs that are mobile and can be transported to any school classroom or campus. The museum offers a $1 discount on school groups of ten or more, making the student rate only $4 to enter.

10. Bringing the Community Together The museum hosts countless community events. Some examples include : An annual Earth Day celebration A Fire and Ice Celebration Electric Vehicle Day
