4. I. Hook—introduce the topic, provide a quote and explain it—get the reader interested. II. Thesis statement—it should look something like this: I. Geography plays a major role in determining the economic prosperity of a country specifically when looking at its location and climate. II. A country’s geographic location—whether the country has access to water, the sea or navigable waterways, and the type of climate based on latitude—is responsible for whether its economy is rich or poor. III. It is okay if yours does not look exactly like these examples but you want to make sure you offer an argument and how your going to prove it. IV. Based on your thesis you may have anywhere from 2-4 body paragraphs.
