A Concluding Sentence ends the paragraph. It restates the topic sentence in different words. It sums up the information in the paragraph.

Pretend that your paragraph is a sandwich. The two slices of bread hold all the details inside – the peanut butter, the jelly, the pickle slices. The top slice of bread is like the topic sentence. The bottom slice of bread is like the concluding sentence.
