3 BUDGET PROPOSITION General Fund Budget in the amount of $ 17,000,000 Increase from 2007-08 equals: 8.11% or $1,275,000 Important to Note: 3.51% or $552,100 of increase attributable to EXCEL Building Project 0% Tax Levy Increase

5 SCHOOL BUS PURCHASE Two (2) Conventional 66-Passenger School Buses To replace two (2) diesel engine buses: Model year 1998 Total expenditures not to exceed $198,000 85% - 90% of expenditures are State Aided

9 What variables are used to calculate the tax rate? Amount of the School Tax Levy as set by the Board of Education Assessment of property as determined by the local Assessor Town equalization rate as set by the New York State Office of Real Property Services

10 Critical Question Since the Tax Levy is projected to increase 0%, will my tax bill be the same as last year? Not necessarily The school tax levy is only one part of the formula If assessments and/or equalization rates change in any one or more of the five towns in our district, your tax bill may increase or decrease.
