What Parents Can Do To Support Your Student’s Success……… Talk to your student Spend time with your student in the evenings and on weekends Hold them responsible Give your child a chance to work out their problems Encourage student to eat breakfast Monitor the amount of sleep they get Check school website Email teachers Encourage students to be involved Sign up for parent portal and email alerts

Bullying Closely monitor Twitter, Facebook & other social networks Report any school-related issue to an administrator If offense happens off campus, report to an officer (Willis PD, MCSO)

Graduation Requirements & Credits Requirements are those classes that Willis ISD and the State of Texas need you to take in order to graduate from High School Credits are earned upon completion and passing of a required course Each semester =.5 credit One full year = 1.0 credits

Remember!! In order to receive a WHS Diploma and walk with your graduating class you must: – Complete all 26 Required Credits – Pass ALL 5 of the STAAR EOCs.
