3
3 Meetings 3-Face to Face 11 Telecom Numerous Emails
4
4 Barriers Identified 1.Application Process Cumbersome 2. Benefits and present PostalOne! Functionality not always known. 3.USPS ‘round stamp’ eliminated from postage statements and security of electronic statements 4.Difficult to factor spoilage into counts 5.Courtesy Pallets not recognized by PostalOne! 6.Software Certification and PostalOne! interface
5
5 Recommendation for Application Barrier Additional training by USPS of both help desk and BMEU personnel emphasizing the different application process (on line versus in person) Industry associations help in the communication of the different application methods Modify application showing sections to be completed by USPS more clearly
6
6 Round Stamp/Security Recommendations USPS send and provide official letter informing permit holders of change Clearly differentiate between pending and final postage statements Encrypt postage statements to make manipulation more difficult Change present ‘pull’ model to ‘push’
7
7 Recommendation for Benefit/Functionality Issue Update functionality report created by workgroup after each new software release and patch. Post on PostalOne! website in timely manner\ Implement capability to support electronic form 8125
8
8 Resolution of Spoilage Issue PostalOne! Release 14.0 (scheduled for late 2007/early 2008) will use the Mail.dat ® Postage Adjustment Record (PAR) for spoilage count. Spoilage postage will be deducted from the lowest discounted rate

9 Resolution of Courtesy Pallet Issue Customer Support Ruling: PS-327 created: When a mailer is transporting less than 12 linear feet of trays or fewer than 100 pounds of sacks within a mailing to a destination BMC/ASF, ADC, or SCF, the mailer may place this mail on a low volume BMC/ASF, ADC, or SCF pallet respectively provided the mailer prints and attaches an appropriate barcoded pallet label to each such pallet. This provision also applies to the last Mixed BMC or Mixed ADC pallet within a mailing if it contains less than the minimum required volume as long as all more finely presorted pallets have been prepared..
