“ Night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith” 1 Thess. 3:10 NASB “complete what is lacking in your faith”

“Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write to you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” Jude 3 in God’s existence in God’s Son as our Lord in God’s Word to direct our lives Individual ~ “your faith”

v. 2 and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith v. 5 For this reason, when I could no longer endure it, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.

Faith Must Be Developed Gradually Turned to God from Idols - 1 Thess. 1:9 Commended - faith, patience, love - 1:3 Examples - 1:7-8 Suffered persecution - 2:14 “Lacking” = having a deficiency, that which is behind - Heb. 4:1 “to come short of it” - Jn. 2:3 “wanting” “Perfect” = fit together in proper succession, mend - Matt. 4:21 - mending their nets
