8 Step 3: Key words and sentences ★ Keep keep 的含义为:保持,保存,保留 A: keep 后常接 v.+ing 形式作宾语,意为 “ 一直做某事 ” 。 Eg: Our teacher keeps working though she’s ill. B: “keep+ 宾语 + 宾语补足语 ” 意为 “ 时某人(物)保持某种 状态 ” ,有这样几种情况: keep sb./sth.+ 形容词; keep sb./sth.+ 介词短语; keep sb. doing sth. eg: It’s hard to keep the house clean with three kids. The doctor told him to keep the medicine at cool places. Don’t keep him standing outside. It’s cold.

9 Step 3: Key words and sentences 1.This week, I got to know my neighbourhood. 1)get to know 意为 “ 逐渐了解,开始了解 ” 。 I get to know many new friends in the city. 2) Know 与 get to know 在强调 “ 认识 ” 这一动作时,意思相同。 但是 get to know 强调从不认识到认识的渐进过程, know 指 直接认识、了解。 2. It isn’t always easy to live in a new neighbourhood. it 作形式主语,真正的主语是 to live in a new neighbourhood. 它的结构是: It is + 形容词 +to do, 意思是 “ 做某事是 …… 的 ” Eg: It’s good for you to learn English well.
