Students will integrate technology into social studies. Objectives: Content/Knowledge: Students will learn the background knowledge of money, budgeting, savings and checking, as well as credit. Students will learn how banks affect them and their families. Process/Skills: Through the integration of technology, students will have hands on access and experience with money. Through learning content knowledge, students will process and apply the skills they learned to run their own lemonade stand. Values/Dispositions: Students will understand the value of banks and money.

It is essential for our students to understand that we must work for our money, how to properly store it in a bank, and the history of our money as well. Every student will need to listen and follow along while they look at each of the planets. Introduction, You & Your Money, Budgeting, Savings & Checking Guide, Credit & You. After going through each of these links, the students will take the assessment quiz provided by the website. After completion, if the student has earned a 70% or higher they are able to print a personal certificate of achievement. Objective

Do a classroom example before allowing the students to work on their own. After they have completed the red and green links, the students will print out their final budgets for assessment. This resource will allow for students to understand our society’s value and benefit of understanding money. In particular, it is essential for the students to try the lunch lady and counting back games. This is very important to our world of economics. We must know how to count money and how to distribute it.

14. Creative After learning about the many concepts of banking through earlier activities, students will put their knowledge to use. Using the green hat delicious bookmark, the students will be able to access a resource that allows them to work their own business, a lemonade stand. This link gives step-by-step directions for the students. Before allowing the students to work on their own, do a classroom example first. The students will get a taste of how a business operates and how to earn income as well.
