4 Career Practicality A pharmacist’s job is usually stress free, yet can be fairly repetitive. A pharmacist can work at a hospital, private practice, or nursing home. A normal day consists of talking to people about making healthy choices, and what medicines to use together, or what not to use together. If a patient needs help with using a medicine such as an inhaler, the Pharmacist will help. Another very common task is prescribing medicine, and administering medications. Pharmacists quite often keep track of pill inventory, and patient prescriptions. A pharmacist’s job is usually stress free, yet can be fairly repetitive.
