Amphibians Cannot regulate their body temperatures. Begin life in water and then move to land as they mature Three Types: Frogs, Salamanders, and Toads

Wild Birds Have pneumatic bones (contain air/hollow) Highly developed sense of vision, lack of smell Feed on seed, nuts, insects, or small animals

Fish Found in various climates and water conditions Breathe through gills Feed on plankton, insects, small amphibians, birds, or mammals

Reptile Ectothermic – do not need to maintain a constant body temp Types: Lizards, snakes, turtles, and alligators Lay eggs to reproduce

Mammals Have constant body temps Females produce milk Inhabit nearly every climate and can be found on water, land, and underground Endothermic - warm- blooded

Group Assignment In your groups from Tuesday, choose 2 species within your group Research the following: Food, Water, Cover, & Space requirements Compare initial response to findings
