Ways to Save Money Plan menus before shopping Use coupons wisely, not all coupons offer a savings. May be able to buy a generic brand cheaper than using a coupon for a brand name product Watch for seasonal specials, especially with fruits and vegetables

Costs Per Serving Compare products by the costs per serving and not by the size of box, weight, etc. Determine cost by the following formula: Cost of product divided by the # of servings
