2 Today’s Goals Update on DATA Act OMB GRIP Pilot Implementing ideas from last meeting Discussion of models for institutional FFATA reporting

3 Update on DATA Act Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2012 (aka DATA Act) passed by House in April 2012. - H.R. 2146 Senate version (S.1222) has not been passed. Still in committee.

4 OMB GRIP Pilot Pilot program with 9 institutions representing the universe of Federal grantees. ▫Still in early stages; currently developing schema/data dictionary. ▫Goal of reducing transparency burden by pulling data from existing reporting portals. Utilizes many existing data elements from FFATA, ARRA and SF425. Who should be involved in discussion?

5 Implementing Ideas from Last Meeting Clearinghouse for transparency requirements from different agencies. ▫Quarterly transparency newsletter ▫Create Executive Summaries of each agency’s reporting requirements.  Who is responsible?  How often?  Where is it hosted?
