June 22-26, 2009 64 th International Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy Titanium in the ISM TiO and TiH have been identified in the spectra of cool M-types stars 1,2 Titanium carbide has been observed in meteorites 3, indicating its presence in the interstellar medium The presence of titanium carbide nanocrystals is also suspected in the circumstellar gas of post-AGB phase stars 4 [1] R.
