TVBD STA hears in-band enabling signal in the TV band TVBD STA joints the network in the ISM band as a STA and keeps secured association so that the transportation of the list of available channels is secured. –[11ad] “A multi-band capable STA may use the same MAC address in both bands/channels or it may use different MAC addresses in each band/channel.” After obtaining the list of available channels in the ISM band, the TVBD STA starts communication. TVBD AP joints the network in the 2.4GHz as a STA and keeps secured association. –This is required by the FCC for the TVBD AP to obtain the list of available channels and for the TVBD STA to verify its FCC ID.
