2. What is De-Fragmenting? What exactly does it do? What De-fragment does is it compress your files so the hard drive has more space to run on, making it faster. A hard drive

3. STEP #1 On the bottom left hand part of the screen is the start button click on it. Start button

4. STEP# 2 A new menu will pop up, Find the menu, PROGRAMS, click on it. Programs

5. STEP#3 another menu will appear: Find ACCSESORIES. Click on it. Accessories

6. STEP#4 Once you do, a new menu will pop up: Find system tools: Click on it. System tools

7. STEP#5 On this menu, you need to find: Disk Defragmenter: Click it. Disk defragmenter

8. STEP#6 A window labeled:disk defragmenter will pop up, Two buttons will be on the bottom: ANALIZE and DEFRAGMENT Analyze defragment

9. STEP#7 Click on ANALIZE. A new window will pop up. The options are VIEW REPORT, DEFRAGMET and CLOSE.

10. STEP#8 Click on DEFRAGMENT Two white and color bars will fill in the gray bars. The bar on top will be current and the bar on the bottom will show you end results.
