5 Our Classroom ROCKS ROCKS Behaviors help us to have a safe environment for teaching and learning. EVERYONE in the Cardinal Family is responsible for creating a positive culture on campus.

6 Behavior Expectations Each member of the Cardinal Family is expected to do the following: Be RESPECTFUL and consider people, places, and property Take OWNERSHIP for your behavior, words, and intentions Stay COMMITTED and persevere Show KINDNESS to others in need by providing support, help, or comfort Follow all SAFETY rules on campus

7 Behavior Expectations How can each Cardinal member exhibit ROCKS: Follow instructions of staff members Be punctual Use appropriate language Be kind and courteous to others Keep your campus clean (throw your trash away!) Follow skateboard safety rules Dress according to LHS dress code Wait in the designated waiting areas Keep hands and feet to yourself REPORT any bullying, altercations, or suspicious activity to an adult immediately

9 Graduation Ceremony Ceremony is Thursday, June 9 th at 5:00pm in the Stadium Must earn 220 Credits and pass all graduation requirement courses (no CAHSEE requirement in 2016) Students must adhere to all school rules and Senior Contract statues to participate in the ceremony & activities UNEXCUSED ABSENCES MUST BE MADE UP BY ATTENDING SATURDAY SCHOOL BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN ANY SENIOR ACTIVITIES. ANY SENIOR WHO IS SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL FORFEITS HIS/HER RIGHT TO ATTEND SENIOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDING PROM –SENIORS MUST BE PASSING AT LEAST 220 CREDITS AND BE ON TRACK TO GRADUATE. ELIGIBILITY WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON THE GRADES POSTED ON THE 15-WEEK PROGRESS REPORT ON MAY 9, 2016.

10 Graduation Ceremony Seating is on both sides of the stadium and students are separated by counselor –Small stage on each side of stadium so graduates are closer to families as they walk across stage to receive diploma. –Handicap seating on track is available for ticketed guests with mobility issues (wheelchair, walker, etc.) Each student receives 4 tickets to graduation ceremony –Extra tickets are not available or sold –Ticketed guests are seated first (approximately 4:30pm) –Non ticketed guests are allowed in for standing room only after ceremony begins at 5:00pm

15 FAFSA applications opened on January 1 st FAFSA priority deadline is March 2 nd FAFSA application is done electronically IRS retrieval tool is the fastest and the most accurate way to complete the financial information but only if you’ve already filed your taxes this year. Tax info from last year can be used but will need to be updated as soon as you file this year.
